Coalition for Restorative Schools Details
Coalition for Restorative Schools was established to advance comprehensive restorative justice practices in K-12 schools. The Coalition supports restorative justice policy development and advocacy. CRSC members offer planning, curriculum development, professional development, training, coaching, technical assistance, research & evaluation for educators and schools. Our mission is to build resiliency in schools. Restorative Justice practices are a proven approach to build community within schools, respond to harm, improve school climate and academic achievement. The coalition includes activists, educators, policymakers and school-based restorative justice implementers from across the Golden State. In 2015, a California Endowment grant funded the K-12 Statewide Restorative Justice Guidance Group to identify best and promising practices. The Guidance Group members included the state's leading implementers. Today, the Coalition draws upon the experiential knowledge, best and promising practices of seasoned California-based practitioners to deliver high quality RJ in schools.
