The Coalition has been formed as a facilitation body to encourage early recognition and effective treatment of sepsis, to decrease mortality rates through partnerships focused on public awareness and support to Colorado hospitals. The Coalition provides a network of resources, utilizing the most effective tools, for achieving the best demonstrated practice in the management of sepsis. Our mission is to bring together hospitals, providers and communities into a partnership committed to reducing the mortality and morbidity of sepsis patients. Our vision of is a reduction in sepsis mortality in the US, through awareness, early diagnosis and timely treatment. More than 250,000 people die from sepsis each year in the United States. We are going to change that.
