The Coastal Resources Association (CRA) is a newly-formed, not-for-profit research and consulting group based in British Columbia, Canada. Our mission to facilitate the conservation and sustainable use of coastal resources. Our work is global in scope, but primarily conducted in developing tropical nations, with a specific focus on the Caribbean region and the Coral Triangle. Our specific experience and services lie at the interface of fisheries management and international development.CRA staff have conducted projects in Canada, the USA, Barbados, the Bahamas, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, the Turks & Caicos Islands, Guam, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, New Caledonia, Tonga, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Our primary expertise is in fisheries management planning, fish habitat management, coral reef management, marine spatial planning and marine protected areas, and aquatic environmental impact assessment. We work with government, academia, industry, and NGOs and community groups.
