Coastella is a world-class, family-friendly and all-inclusive boutique music festival held annually in the grounds of Southwards Car Museum in Otaihanga on the Kāpiti Coast. The festival is a creative showcase for established and emerging local and international musical artists as well as being a community event to celebrate the vibrancy of Kāpiti.Coastella was founded by Gerry Paul and Paul Brown in 2016.Building on the growing success of the first two festivals, the 2018 line-up showcases a diverse range of local and international music from energetic folk and indie rock to Japanese banjo, brass and Balkan madness, promising festival-goers an unmissable day out! With its stellar line up and unique natural setting, Coastella is a chance to enjoy a summer musical discovery in the heart of Kapiti - while sampling food and drink from a large array of food vendors.Volunteers are key to the success of Coastella - in fact in 2017 Coastella won the Rising Star award in the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards, which celebrate volunteers and community groups for their valuable contribution to society.www.coastella.co.nz
