The Coeliac Research Fund Limited (CRF) was founded to make a difference - to change the lives of those with coeliac disease, both diagnosed and undiagnosed. By collaboratively working with coeliac societies, health care professionals and those with an interest in the management of coeliac disease, the Coeliac Research Fund Limited is committed to effecting change.The Coeliac Research Fund (CRF) is a company limited by guaranteed registered on 1 July 2008, ABN 11 131 859 795. The CRF has incorporated the Australia and New Zealand Coeliac Research Fund which was previously administered by Melbourne Health. The CRF has DGR and Charity Tax Concession Status. CRF has a voluntary governing Board and a voluntary Medical Advisory Committee the members of which are leading gastroenterologists, pediatricians, scientists and dietitians.The CRF works collaboratively with The Coeliac Society Australia Inc (CSA) and its state-based support offices. The CSA is a member organisation with over 20,000 members who have been clinically diagnosed with coeliac disease. The focus of the CSA is the management of the disease through a gluten free diet and raising public awareness. In order to effect change, the CRF is:Liaising closely with patient advocacy and health professional groups to improve the lives of people affected by coeliac disease.Disseminating best evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for coeliac diseaseEnsuring that research in coeliac disease is resourced and addresses innovative solutions to cure, prevent, or improve upon current management of coeliac disease In addition, CRF has strong international links with coeliac societies in the US, UK and New Zealand and works towards better knowledge, research, diagnosis and awareness of the disease world-wide.
