Food & Beverages - Guerneville, California, United States
Coffee Bazaar has been at the center of Guerneville history for over thirty years. Throughout that time, we have been many things to many people. Previously, the space was shared with a video store, book store, art shop, bead store, ice cream stand a tie-dye shop, each having its own booth, hence the reference to a Bazaar. Prior to being used by Coffee Bazaar, the building had been a hardware store, beer hall, and dance hall (not at the same time). The parking lot was once the Guerneville Hotel, a Victorian structure destroyed by fire in the 1960s. The carriage house remains at the rear of the parking lot,now the home of "Studio Blomster". In 1986, while floodwaters were lapping at the front door, Coffee Bazaar remained open, canoes moored on the sidewalk. Over the years, the café grew, and now shares the space with "Twice Told Books". Current owners, Richard and John, carry on the proud tradition of serving quality coffee and a wide variety of tasty food and ice cream. "We have a passion for serving great coffee that is complimented by simple and tasty food. Coffee Bazaar is a partner in our community and we are a meaningful place for the public to casually gather. We thrive in a welcoming environment that delivers magical and uplifting experiences to every guest." Roast Master Chris Goodman, who has eighteen years of roasting experience, freshly roasts coffee each day. Chris, Richard and John can often be found "cupping" new coffees throughout the week. Public tastings are offered on Friday each week at 2 pm for customers who want to learn more about different coffee origins and roasts.
