Great coffee was quite scarce in Istanbul until recently. Like elsewhere in the world, the Istanbul coffee scene has changed dramatically in the last few years. Lots of great coffee shops have opened in Istanbul. You just need to know where to find it!We've spent a lot of time hunting down great coffee in Istanbul. We've visited these shops several times and tasted different coffees.We, as great coffee fans, are trying, selecting and experimenting new types of coffee and brewing methods. Although there are places that we are regulars of, we are always excited to visit new ones. We shall be adding new places as we come across the ones we deem good enough. We shall also update the existing portfolio.All places on this map serve quality coffee, in our view. Of course, some are better. That is why we did not only provide details of the places but rated the cups. Due to differences in the spectrum of coffee served, we used espresso to rate the places. We have included a lot of criteria including but not limited to roasting time, quality of beans, service and preparation while rating. Needless to say, we have factored in our own taste in coffee…Only the great places will make it onto the map!
