Marketing & Advertising - Dallas, Texas, United States
Co-Founded by Troy Scillian and Jim Sykora, Coffee/Black was a boutique agency that lived by the philosophy," Let nothing get in the way of great work." We started the agency with Bonanza Steakhouse, Lotto Shoes, and Word Publishing. In 1996 we created Uniden's first national television spot and later repositioned their brand. We helped 7-Eleven brand and launch Dark Mountain Roast Coffee (huge success) as well as their own line of pantyhose, Heaven Sent (not a huge success.) We landed DFW airport in 2001 and partnered with them for 12 years. It was a great time for start-ups and we helped several get off the ground including Broadband Gateways, estorefixtures, Intellect Network Technologies and Forest Hills Hotels and Resorts. The agency grew to 15 people and included Buzz Public Relations and WideEye Interactive which was lead by the great Terry Ranson. In 2002 we merged with Moroch.
