Each custom fly rod is checked to ensure the guides are properly placed and test cast before the guides are ever wrapped down. Each blank is measured for true line weight before construction is started and then again afterwards. I am pleased to provide custom fly rods both fresh and salt water. Every custom fly rod is one of a kind, hand crafted to exacting standards on blanks made specifically for us or on any blank you choose.I love creating custom fly rods. For that matter, I really enjoy creating ‘most anything. I enjoy using things I have learned over the years to enhance the art and craft of building custom items from custom fly rods to pens to leather work to duck calls to yard sculptures. They all provide a great sense of enjoyment to me. Colorado Custom Fly Rods is located in Littleton, Colorado, just minutes away from some of the best trout fishing in the world. I do not just sell custom fly rods, I use the rods I build as well.Besides having 19 grandkids and one great grandson, I volunteer time with the Boy Scouts to teach fly tying at Camp Tahosa for the Fly Fishing Merit Badge program, Hooked on Tahosa.
