Colorado Nexus is a consortia of libraries in southeast Colorado who pooled their talents, love of education and commitment of libraries to form an online catalog of resources in order to stretch their resource budgets beyond traditional limits.Colorado Nexus libraries share cataloging efforts and in some cases, staff, to the betterment of the group.Created through the efforts of the now defunct, Arkansas Valley Regional Library Service System (Pueblo, Colorado) and the southwest BOCES (Pueblo West, Colorado) and through a grant from the Colorado State Library, Nexus thrived on member support and the fearless leadership of 9 tireless and dedicated persons known as the Advisory Council. Combined, Nexus holds over 345,000 records between the now 28 member libraries with over 6.1 million searches performed.
