The Colorado Veterans Health and Wellness Agency is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit that is affiliated with the Family Care Center of Colorado Springs, a private outpatient mental health counseling practice in Colorado Springs Colorado. The mental health of transitioning veterans is of a major concern to employers, veterans, their families, and the communities in which they live. While the care provided to eligible veterans at the local Department of Veterans Affairs is adequate, and provided by committed professionals, the overwhelming demand for services requires a significant amount of time before a veteran can be seen.The Co Veterans Health and Wellness Agency aims to address this shortfall by providing veterans with the opportunity to receive clinical mental health counseling to veterans regardless of discharge, era of service, or ability to pay. The uniqueness our program is based on the staff of the Family Care Center's ten-year experience in serving active duty service members, veterans, and their families. All clinicians and providers are military-experienced or have demonstrated proficiency in caring for the unique challenges that our nations service members face.
