Colourful Conversations is a social enterprise with a scientific mind, a social heart, and creative hands. Our vision is to empower children and young people with the knowledge and skills they need to develop emotional literacy and build mental health resilience. 1 in 8 young people experience mental ill-health (age 5-19 /NHS Digital 2018). We can address this by taking gentle but important action to support, protect and improve positive mental health education for our families and communities. We need simpler, better ways to learn. Vital health information must feel relevant and accessible to even very young children and their families, carers, guardians and educators.Colourful Conversations facilitate relaxing and fun opportunities to talk with young people about thoughts, feelings and behaviour. We do this by providing curious, downloadable, original, hand-drawn colouring-in posters featuring wellbeing themes. Our posters come with confidence-boosting helpful tips and further information for the adults.Our posters are designed to be coloured in together and proudly displayed to spark curiosity, promote learning and invite dialogue between trusted adults and young people. Our design ideas and content are inspired by the protective factors for positive mental health, the reinforcement of these, builds resilience.We consult and collaborate with people who dedicate their lives to improving young people's wellbeing. Our carefully selected panel of advisors in mental health, youth support and education work with us to make sure that we offer the most up-to-date information available.In 2020 we are donating 50% of our profit to charities offering crisis support to children and young people, reflecting the statistic that 50% of mental health problems are established by age 14.Our mission is to help you start one Colourful Conversation today.
