The Columbia Journal of History (CJH), formerly the Columbia Undergraduate Journal of History, is a publication of the Undergraduate History Council at Columbia University. The Journal was founded in 2008 to provide opportunities for students and academics to contribute their research to the field of history. We review student submissions from history departments across the United States and abroad, and then select the most exemplary among them to be published in the Journal. Through our broad and inclusive approach to editorial board creation, community development, and focus on ethical practice, this open access publication provides venues for new academics and subjects to enter the publishing landscape.
