CFD and Optimization METhods for Engineering and ScienceCOMETES is a research group at the Industrial Engineering department of the University of Padova. Our main activities are:1) Development of multidisciplinary optimization methods for the engineering design2) Optimization and CFD analysis of axial turbomachinery, propulsion systems, wind turbines, fan coils, boat hulls, automotive3) Development of numerical codes for:- Turbomachinery preliminary design and analysis (meanline, throughflow)- CFD simulation (LES, DNS)- Aero-structural analysis and optimization of wind turbines (BEM, lifting line, CFD)
