Since 2002 Comfort Homesake has engaged in its strategic plan to roll out its mission in America. Released in 2018, our Result Based Accountability Report shows Comfort Homesake progress in providing training in-service training in health clinics and hospitals, senior care facilities, faith-based organizations and hospice. We trained hundreds of people in Empathy/Self Care; Advanced Health Care Planning "Conversation" Starting; Advance Directive and Letter to Your Doctor Documentation; and Soul Injury. Comfort Homesake is a sponsor of National Healthcare Decisions Day and other public charity events receiving Proclamations from Oakland Mayor's Office; Alameda County Board of Supervisors; and recognition for its work with Stanford University in collecting ethnic demographic data around end-of-life wishes. Comfort Homesake's work with the Alameda Contra Costa County Medical Association, TJ Long Foundation grant to develop ethnic community ambassadors and translated advanced health care planning resources in Chinese, Spanish and Korean languages. February 5, 2018 Comfort Homesake's role will be recognized for its support in developing training modules for an Alameda Co. community-based palliative program called Care Partners by the National Association of Counties.
