Comix India Details
Comix India is a self-published comics anthology series, focusing on an adult readership. It was begun in 2010 by Bharath Murthy and Kailash Iyer. Six volumes were published between 2010 and 2012, after which it went dormant until 2017. It has now been revived with Bharath Murthy as editor and Japanese manga editor Mitsuhiro Asakawa as Editorial Adviser.Alternative Japanese manga features as part of the content from Volume 7 onwards.For a longer, detailed discussion on Comix India and its background, here are separate interviews with Bharath and Kailash, conducted by manga and comics historian Ryan Holmberg for his column in The Comics Journal. Our hope for the future is to turn Comix India into a regular monthly magazine.
