Semiconductors - Bainbridge Island, Washington, United States
A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting clean, renewable energy, energy conservation, and efficiency to strengthen communities and lessen the impact on the natural environment. Our mission is to bring sustainable energy practices to Main Street; by creating socially, economically, and environmentally responsible projects and programs. Since our initial project in 2008, Solar for Sakai School, we have achieved over one megawatt (MW) of photovoltaic installed capacity across western Washington. In addition to the many Go Solar campaigns that made investing in solar energy easier for hundreds of families, we spearheaded the Community Solar concept through the legislative process, making these innovative and sensible projects possible in Washington State. As of this writing, there are over 35 Community Solar projects across the State, totaling over one MW of installed solar energy capacity. The Board held their final meeting in December 2014. We are proud that the systems and projects that we led and created will continue to create clean energy, turning meters' backward and reducing carbon pollution, for many years to come.
