For years, it's been my dream to open a great community gathering place. Since moving to Ganthers Place in 2011, I've had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people. I've had the opportunity to get feedback from my neighbors on what they think they would like to see happen to the community. A common one has been a business that provides people to meet and share ideas.This is why I thought of Community Grounds. Named after a pocket park that my wife and I created, it's the first step to help the area thrive. I hope to make this dream into a reality within the coming year. I know that I will not only need the help of everyone in the neighborhood, but also the great communities world-wide. Community Grounds will provide great coffee that is roasted locally and honestly sourced along with vegetarian and vegan options. It will also provide space for the sharing of music, poetry, food, books, ideas and anything else that will make Parsons Ave a major focal point of Columbus. I will create a public Facebook page as soon as I have a space lined up and share updates constantly.
