We are here to work with families looking for affordable housing. Initially we will focus on shifting houses from the Red Zone to create the first batch of affordable homes. The houses we relocate and renovate are high quality timber frame construction homes which we transform into wonderful family homes.The Trustees are committed to participating long term in the affordable housing market. The sale of Red Zone houses will provide a capital base for the Trust but the Trustees and staff acknowledge that this is only a short term opportunity. The main purpose of CHT is to become active advocates for public/private partnerships in affordable housing. CHT sees itself becoming a long term honest broker in the affordable housing market performing whatever role ensures that low income families are able to actually own their own home.
