Community School of the Arts Foundation Details
Community School of the Arts Foundation (CSOAF), a public charity, 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, has been providing arts to K-12 since 2003. The Community School of the Arts Foundation provides arts education including, drama, creative arts, and dance classes at no cost to K-12, and participants identified with moderate to severe disabilities attending the Public Schools. We provide children in the community with a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment where their creativity and imagination can be encouraged and their capabilities can be explored and expanded.Community School of the Arts Foundation collaborates with public schools to support arts learning and Common Core Standards for K-12. CSOAF also collaborates with social youth service agencies to give opportunities for personal growth through the arts.We're also making a difference in the lives of college interns who we mentor—inspiring a new generation to contribute to their communities through the arts in social service. These specially trained interns along with the staff of Community School of the Arts Foundation enable and encourage each participant to empower themselves and build community through dance, theatre, music and visual arts.
