COMPASS LIGHT produces motion pictures that explore our human relationship to the outdoors and our capacity to learn from experience. Our international, national, and local client base includes television broadcasters, museums, foundations and non-governmental groups, schools, and travel companies. The company grew out of filmmaker David Conover's early work and expeditionary interests and now draws from an active network of outdoor production personnel on all continents and over 50 countries world-wide. Home is a converted carriage barn 2 miles from the ocean and the seaport of Camden, Maine. Here, a staff of six work in four 4K edit suites on our productions, while three sheep tend to the grass outside and one dog dreams of lunch. All work-in-progress can be remotely screened and commented upon by our clients, using our custom built cloud-based review portal. Among its awards and distinctions, it has been named to the GLOBAL TOP 100 Production Companies by Realscreen, international surveyor of non-fiction television.
