Compass Vineyards grows Cabernet Sauvignon clone 337, at 38° 24.650' lat, -122° 25.980' lon, 297M alt—the intersection of the Oakville and Mt Veeder AVAs, giving the grapes an ideal blend of Oakville intensity and Mt Veeder finesse. Our 2012 vintage was harvested in late September at 24 Brix, fermented using S. cerevisiae, and then aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak, the result is a well-structured wine that will continue to mature over the coming years. It will be in bottle later this year. The 2013 vintage is currently aging in 100% new French oak as well.
