Applying to college can be an overwhelming experience--and we understand that! As recent graduates of Skidmore College, we were not so long ago sifting through piles of college mailings, touring schools, and lost amongst the jargon, competition, and overwhelming number of choices of the college application process. However, we firmly believe that applying to college should not be stressful for students and their families. Our services are based around our philosophy of best match. We reject the common practice of ranking schools as "safety, target, reach," as this system inherently prioritizes the prestige of a college over the appropriateness of a college for an individual student's goals. We want to help students find a place where they can grow and thrive. Therefore, we adhere to this best match model of college counseling where the application process is driven by exploration, self-reflection, and whole person goal setting. We support students at all points in the application process from initial search to application submissions with our writing, logistical, and counseling support.
