Compucon New Zealand (www.compucon.co.nz) is a fully New Zealand owned and managed company based in Albany since 1992. Compucon is the trading name for Modern Technology NZ Limited for computer manufacturing registered in 1992 and Computers New Zealand Limited for computer services registered in 1998. It is also an ecosystem of business partners and peers around the country although the majority are based in Auckland. Previous key achievements of the company are:1995- Obtained the first ISO-9001 quality management system certification1997- Designed and released the first locally made Dual Processors server computer2002- Started industry mentoring service to University of Auckland 4th year IT students2014- Joined MBIE-funded New Zealand Alliance team for the international Square Kilometer Array telescope project (www.skatelescope.org) as a principal engineering investigator for 6 years2018- Became an Official PhD adviser for the Computer Science School of the University2020- Started Compucon II as a white space business division of Compucon.
