Computer Jenius was founded in 2007 as a joint venture by Carlton Beatty and Josué Negrón. In the year 2006, they assisted numerous residential clients with simple computer repairs and training. They discovered there was a market for such services, hence decided to turn this hobby into a legitimate business they dubbed "Computer Jenius". They developed a marketing strategy to drive business by distributing brochures and business cards to many potential clients. Once they became reputable in their community, they partnered with a local not-for-profit, Hearts to Nourish Hope, Inc. They provided them with referrals to over 250 local businesses. They began to expand their services and developed solutions to become scalable, such as providing virtual support. At this point, they recruited technical consultants and began to manage projects.
