ComputerLand of Buffalo was the 8th store to open of the international ComputerLand franchise chain of store which grew to over 600 stores around the world. The Buffalo store opened June 14th 1977 and was sold in 1981 after a successful run of nearly 4 years. It introduced the microcomputer revolution to western New York and southern Ontario, including the sale of Steve Job's 50th Apple II computer. The parent ComputerLand organization is no longer in business but some of the original stores still exist around the world especially in the country of Australia.
