PCs for Africa is a Dutch-based organization with a mission to help educate children in rural areas and townships in South Africa by accelerating their education. We collect surplus computers (PCs and laptops), refurbish them and distribute them via the Bitou 10 Foundation and Denron Community Centre to the various schools. PCs for Africa provides an ethical and easy solution for organizations to make an IT donation. With our work we address the problem of textbook shortages in African schools and provide school children with computer skills. Access to IT technology and IT education are paramount to improving standards of living and securing good jobs in the modern world. Build on successes in one region at a time, we want to develop a solid base for lasting, region-wide change. Together with our partner Bitou 10 Foundation and our sponsors, PCs for Africa can make a major difference in some of the poorest areas in South Africa.
