COMT is a web-based assessment which measures patient outcomes with musculoskeletal injuries or diagnoses. The COMT assessment creates a report which aids the care team and patient in creating and monitoring the chosen treatment plan for its effectiveness. Too often, patients with muscoloskeletal injuries have long recoveries, if they recover at all. Armed with limited physical evaluations, providers have finite treatment choices, such as physical therapy, opiod perscriptions and surgery. A COMT assessment broadens these choices. Multiple studies point to a direct correlation between a patient's psychosocial state of mind and the influence it has on a patient's recovery. The COMT assessment combines a biopsychosocial assessment with a physical functional score to better inform the treatment process.
