CONFLUENCE Design | Fabrication is a custom design & fabrication studio utilizing emerging digital design & traditional fabrication technologies. This collaborative design studio/shop approach integrates three-dimensional digital modeling with manual and digital fabrication methods to produce custom objects ranging from small scale furniture prototypes, to museum exhibitions and large-scale architectural interiors.Founded in 2009, CONFLUENCE believes in a 21st century business model, where social responsibility is executed through the economical production of custom design, where environmental stewardship is prioritized and achieved through the local sourcing of abundant materials and a commitment to reducing waste, and where modernism and abstraction are valued as a cultural expression of making.CONFLUENCE's five members hold academic degrees in the fields of architecture, interior design, sculpture, and landscape architecture, and all five partners possess practical experience in these respective fields. The combination of education, design and hands on fabrication experience, ensures CONFLUENCE's ability to enter a project at multiple stages of design development, from the very basic schematic sketch to the highly-detailed construction document. Aaron Senne and Albert Mitchell are the managing principals of CONFLUENCE Design | Fabrication.
