The Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus is a bipartisan caucus comprised of 169 members of U.S. House of Representatives. The Caucus works toward the extension of equal rights, the repeal of discriminatory laws, the elimination of hate-motivated violence, and the improved health and well-being for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.The Caucus has two task forces: a Transgender Equality Task Force, chaired by Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy, III (MA-04); and an LGBT Aging Issues Task Force, chaired by Rep.
