A multi-location film festival (USA • Australia) focused on connecting filmmakers and building a hive of creativity. In the USA films have screened at the historic Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, the AMC Sunset 5 in West Hollywood, and the Downtown Independent in Downtown LA. The Melbourne branch of Connect Film Festival has run out of Loop Project Space & Bar. Connect also runs Connect Screenings in Austin, TX & Boston, MA. Connect has also ventured into Connect Productions and created the short film To Life which screened in the Woods Hole Film Festival as well as others throughout the USA. The project was founded in 2014 by Lindsey-Loon Ricker in Melbourne Australia, with its first event in Los Angeles in 2016. It is still run by Lindsey-Loon Ricker, primarily with a team of volunteers, most of whom are filmmakers. Filmmakers come back to Connect year after year and in location after location because of the quality of films, the value and synergy of sharing ideas, and the warmth of the community.
