Since 1948 Connect (formerly known as Scottish Parent Teacher Council) has been dedicated to the promotion of parental engagement in education. Beginning as a federation of Parent-teacher Associations, the scope of our work has widened dramatically over 70 years but we remain dedicated to improving educational outcomes for young people. We offer training, advice and support to our membership of Parent Councils/PTAs and other parents groups, local authorities, and education professionals. We deliver a number of professional learning opportunities on parental engagement, including the SCEL endorsed Engaging Parents in Children's Education.
