Connective Logic Systems is a software product company that sells a parallel computing platform called CLIP and a development tool set called Blueprint; which between them enable programmers to develop and deploy distributed concurrent/parallel real-time applications on PC and non-PC computer architectures. A fundamental design goal of CLIP is the separation of programing logic into domains; The separation of so called algorithmic or business logic, from the infrastructure logic that is concerned with managing the complexities of concurrency, flow control, performance and the abstraction of the physical environmental. We call this approach Infrastructure Oriented Programming or IOP. The CLIP platform can be thought of as a Dynamic Virtual Supercomputer comprising multiple machines connected across a network. CLIP automatically takes care of recruiting computers into the ‘colony', running the various tasks in parallel, and managing all event communications, code and data transfers between the various parts of the system. The company was founded in 1996 and since then CLIP and Blueprint have been used to deliver Complex Event Processing and other real-time parallel computing solutions to the business, scientific and defence communities in Europe, America and Australia.
