Conor Lynch is a woodturner based in rural County Offaly. He started woodturning at the age of eleven after seeing a demonstration and, when he was twelve, he bought a lathe with his confirmation money.He is largely self-taught – many of his early works were used as firewood. Now he is considered one of Ireland's leading emerging makers working in turned wood and regularly participates in craft fairs around the country, including the RDS Christmas Craft Fair.He is a member of the Offaly Crafty collective of makers and artists. He has work in private collections in America, Australia, France and Mexico and one of his bowls was presented to President Mary MacAleese in 2011. In 2014 he was on Junior Dragon's Den where he secured a €2,000 bursary and mentoring from Peter Casey.
