Pioneering Organizational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Workshop Combining Education, Small/Large Group Processing and Activities Leveraging Cognitive-Emotional-Behavioral Approach to Improve Learning Outcomes, Awareness and InsightsCODE was developed via a cross-collaboration between Leadership-Reinvented and Thriving Phoenix Counseling.The developers/facilitators combine 50+ years of experience in counseling, psychology, business coaching, diversity & inclusion, recruiting, employee culture, human resources and business leadership.With extensive knowledge of DE&I and human/group dynamics, as well as bringing their own, unique perspectives as a Black female, a first generation Hispanic female and a White male, military veteran, they developed a workshop which appreciates all viewpoints and seeks to break down resistance to enact real change at the organizational and society levels.Utilizing an "inward-out" (self, system, next steps) progression, CODE seeks to improve attendees' insights in regards to diversity, bias, communication with others and systematic obstacles. Leveraging group processing with a cognitive-emotional-behavioral approach, CODE helps attendees identify and question unconscious bias, while improving insight to conscious/unconscious decision making, thoughts and feelings. CODE helps to improve effective communication between all individuals and groups and building an organizational system which truly values diversity, equity, inclusion and varying perspectives.Although much of the workshop focuses on race and racism in society due to the immediate need, CODE also provides attendees insights into interacting effectively with all individuals and groups across ethnicity, LGTBQ+, differently-abled, age, SES, religious/political affiliations, mental health diagnoses, etc.#diversityequityinclusion #diversityworkshop #unconsciousbias #diversityinclusion #diversityandinclusion #leadershipdevelopment #diversityintheworkplace #authenticself
