constellations is an online double-blind peer review publishing space focused on cultural rhetorics scholarship, teaching, and practice. The field of cultural rhetorics is anchored in the belief that all cultures are rhetorical and all rhetorics are cultural. This belief forms a set of constellating methodologies, theories, and practices that draw attention to the intricate ways meaning emerges in human practices.Because scholarship in this field often doesn't fit within the boundaries of many traditional scholarly journals, presses, and online forums, we'll be building constellations as a space for a variety of kinds of publications: traditional articles of 4000-6000 words or the equivalent multimedia pieces, short monographs of under 90,000 words or the equivalent multimedia pieces, "new ideas" pieces of any length in any media, teaching conversation pieces, digital installations, films, and forms we haven't imagined yet. Thus, constellations as a publishing space invites submissions from scholars, teachers, artists, activists, and community members whose work is accessible in all media forms suitable for web-based publication and distribution. While the content of the work accepted will be focused on cultural rhetorics theories, methodologies and methods, histories, pedagogies, cultures, power, knowledge, and meaning-making practices, both historical and contemporary, constellations especially encourages non-traditional pieces, particularly those that push boundaries of style, form, content, and media in their composition and presentation. Both traditional and non-traditional work are welcomed from various disciplines and areas. The publishing space will function on a rolling submissions basis with at least some pieces undergoing collaborative review processes. Questions and inquiries are welcomed at constell8cr@gmail.com.
