The Consultancy for Conservation & Development Ltd, established in May 1992 and incorporated in January 2010, is specialist company which works on conservation management and the utilisation of cultural and natural heritage as a tool for development and poverty alleviation and the documentation and conservation ancient monuments and historic buildings. We have worked in 36 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, including work on major projects financed by UNESCO, the World Bank, the European Union, the European Investment Band and UNDP. Its clients have included UNESCO, ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and a number of national and regional governments (Armenia, China, Kazakhstan, Nepal, the Philippines, Vietnam, the Kurdistan Regional Government and the State of Kedah, Malaysia). We possess a wide range of technical expertise and practical experience in the restoration of monuments and historic buildings, the survey, documentation and cataloguing of cultural monuments, interpretation, the preparation of technical specifications and the preparation of restoration manuals. Five of our projects have received Conservation Design Awards. The conservation and management of World Cultural Heritage is one of our particular strengths. International workshops on practical techniques for the restoration of ancient monuments have been organized on behalf of UNESCO in Armenia, Bhutan, Iraq, Nepal, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
