The Controlled Release Society, Indian Chapter (CRSIC), was established in 1994 with Headquarters at the B. V Patel PERD Center, Ahmedabad and Regional office at Scitech Center, Jogeshwari (W), Mumbai.It is a recognized Chapter of the Controlled Release Society Inc., USA (CRS), which was incorporated in 1978, as a not-for- profit organization, devoted to the science and technology of controlled release. CRS is the home for experts dedicated to the delivery of actives, including delivery scientists, engineers, clinicians, and technical professionals.CRS Inc., has 16 Chapters around the world, and a large global membership base. The CRS community offers you access to a global network of inter-disciplinary scientists and industry professionals.The primary activities of the CRS Indian Chapter, focus on spreading the science of new drug delivery systems through national and international seminars, workshops and conferences. One of our flagship activities has been the conduct of an international conference series on "Advances in Technology and Business Potential of New Drug Delivery Systems", annually or biannually, since inception. This conference brings together a galaxy of international scientists from industry and academia as well as CRS Inc office bearers.The CRSIC actively promotes post graduate student research through poster presentations, best poster awards and travel grants. The CRSIC also offers a platform for engaging industry through industry specific workshops and solicits collaborations based on Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
