The CMA is a not-for-profit trade association owned by its membership: manufacturers of cookware, bakeware and kitchenware with substantial operations and headquarters in the United States. The CMA began in the early 1920s as the Aluminum Wares Association, became the Metal Cookware Manufacturers Association in the 1960s and in the 1970s changed its name to the Cookware Manufacturers Association in recognition of its representation of all types of cookware and bakeware materials. The CMA's mission is to inform and promote the industry to its members, their customers and to the general public.The CMA helps develop engineering standards for the industry, disseminates information to consumers, retailers and manufacturers, and offers forums for members to learn about the latest advances in manufacturing, retailing, distribution and materials.If your firm produces or markets your exclusively controlled brand of cookware and/or bakeware, you are invited to contact the CMA for information regarding membership. Dues vary depending on sales volume and range from $1,100 to $15,000 annually.
