Cool Petaluma is a grassroots effort that focuses on building up our social networks to help neighborhoods become more planet friendly, disaster resilient, and community rich. The moonshot goal is to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 by creating replicable, scalable, win-win strategies that have multiple co-benefits that make life richer, healthier, and more beautiful. Our mission is to make that journey a fun, inclusive, and beneficial experience for all.With one-million-dollar grants for each city from the Cool City Challenge, Petaluma, Los Angeles, and Irvine will be the three pilot cities in 2022 that will create the template for the 50 cities that will participate in 2023, after which the program will be rolled out internationally. Literally, we will help set the example for the world!
