Hilal is a social cooperative committed in welcoming refugees, cultural mediation, education projects and skills training based in Treviso, Veneto Region. Founded by Italian and Moroccan partners in 1999 today counts 20 employees.We run very high-quality projects and host about 100 refugees in our communities.MissionSocial Cooperative Hilal aims to realize social inclusion facilitating economic, social and cultural integration through cultural mediation, cocreation and management of social projects and skills training. Collaborations and projectsHilal focuses on developing projects regarding social inclusion and economic and cultural integration. We are committed to cooperate and network within the framework of Interreg Alpine Space, Interreg Mediterranean, Horizon 2021-27 and Erasmus Plus funding programmes. Some of our projects in the field of innovation and social inclusion - promoted and managed in collaboration with non-profit associations and public partners - include: - Intercultural projects to promote the Arabic culture in the Italian society; - Linguistic mediation projects in hospitals to help foreign citizens understand medical language; - Linguistic mediation in kindergartens; - Training for nurses and caregivers to foster communication with foreign citizens; - Projects to foster the employment of disadvantaged people; - The "Progetto Donna" addressed to migrant women; - The "Permanent Observatory on Immigration" in the Province of Treviso; - The "World's Kitchens" project, an original path of female entrepreneurship, financed by Veneto Region and the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund of EU;- Several projects addressed to the asylum seekers.
