Solcor bungee was, and is, unique. Traditional bungee consists of multi-strands of inexpensive and low specification latex rubber filament covered in braided polypropylene or nylon fabric. When stretched, the braiding opens slightly and UV penetrates to the inner core perishing the fine rubber strands, eventually causing failure leading to a need for replacement. Solcor bungee has a solid core comprising a polymer of specially formulated rubber components with a much higher specification than traditional latex type cord. This is braided with 1000 denier polyester fabric pre-treated with a UV inhibitor to provide a barrier of protection. Solcor solid core bungee cord has long been used in the vineyards as a tension cord for drip line. It provides the flex required to ensure there is sufficient movement for expansion and contraction over seasonal and daily temperature extremes and to absorb any machinery knocks, ultimately protecting significant drip line investment. A solution that has been adopted in all grape, stone and pip-fruit regions. Cordall produces over 100,000 metres of cord, tape, elastic and bungee per month with a range of colour and style choices for all our market segments.
