Robin was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2008 and received Chemotherapy (Abraxane), Herceptin and had a bilateral mastectomy. At the same time, she also made profound lifestyle changes to support her healing. Currently, she has no visible active disease and receives no medicine-based intervention. She has worked as a physical therapist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the general acute setting, Children's Memorial Hospital (Lurie) and Arlington Pediatric Therapy.
