This organization was established as a comprehensive alliance with a focus on resource organization, mobilization, and implementation. It provides a network/venue for the members of the African Diaspora to express their needs and have those needs met. BSU is committed to Afro-centricity, establishing a balance between academia & activism, and developing community-centered leadership in an effort to organize and mobilize community resources. It is committed to Pan-African unity across lines of ethnicity, culture, socio-economic class, gender and sexual orientation.
