To explore data effectively today, you need to be able to write SQL. Yet there are only millions of SQL developers versus billions of spreadsheet users doing data analysis every day! So despite all these incredible advances in data tooling, the humble front line knowledge worker is more disconnected from the data than ever before.Supersheets is a search and spreadsheet tool that sits on top of your data warehouse. First, we connect to your data warehouse or any postgres database. We can then list out your tables and let you tag them with plain-english, e.g. "marketing" or "stripe" and view what's in these table right in our explore view, unlike other data catalogs. You can then analyze data in our spreadsheet, with formulas and pivot tables compiling to SQL to run on the warehouse (coming soon). We also let you export to Google Sheets, letting users feed up-to-date data into their models. We know it's not optimal but they're doing it already, just manually!But what about BI tools? They only work on pre-defined data and commercial teams aren't comfortable using them. e.g. Hubspot internal survey says 10% of 3000 staff comfortable using BI.But what about data teams? They feel the pinch too, they're overworked (Ascend survey says 97% at or above capacity) and data requests are the least value-adding jobs they do.
