COtL is an innovative AgTech start-up which establishes and manages high-quality public weather station networks in agricultural regions. These weather station networks – also known as ‘Mesonets' - provide reliable data in real-time for a range of metrics including temperature, rainfall, frost, fire danger and spray drift hazard alerts. This is viewable on a simple web-display designed for low-internet regions: https://riverlandmalleemesonet.com.au/. The Mesonets provide a wealth of value to agricultural communities, growers, emergency services and research and development institutes, and are fast becoming thought of as critical infrastructure. COtL's key differentiator is our Mesonet's ability to combat agricultural spray drift – an issue thought to cost the SA agricultural industry hundreds of millions of dollars each year and with a worryingly unknown impact on human health. COtL uses cutting-edge meteorological science and sensor technology to do this, and our Mesonets are a truly world-leading initiative. By 2023, the Mesonets will cover over half of all of SA's agricultural regions comprised of over 110 individual 10m-tall weather stations.
