MissionThe mission of the Council for American Students in International Negotiations, Inc. (CASIN) is to promote scholarship, discourse, and engagement in international policy and deepen the commitment of America and Americans to fulfilling our obligations as a leader in the international community.OrganizationCASIN is an international non-profit, NGO providing young Americans unprecedented access to the international policymaking process by sending delegations to meetings of various UN bodies, the Assembly of States Parties of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and other international negotiations.MembersCASIN's members include undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, and law school students at colleges and universities across the US, as well as young professionals.ProgramsThrough delegations, publications, and outreach, CASIN promotes engagement and education in international policy for students and the public at large.HistoryCASIN, originally the Independent Student Coalition for the International Criminal Court, was established in November of 2002. After taking part in the successful drive to secure then-President Clinton's signature to the Rome Statute, our organization changed its name and expanded its mandate to embrace broader issues of international policy and justice.AlliancesCASIN is a member of the Steering Committee of AMICC and a member of the CICC. CASIN is accredited to attend meetings of the ICC ASP and has UN ECOSOC consultative status.
