The Council of Vedic Astrology is the oldest, non-profit Vedic astrology membership organizations in the West. We are allied with the ICAS, the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences, the oldest Vedic astrology membership organization in India, founded by the late Dr. B. V. Raman. We are a professional community of practicing Vedic astrologers. For two decades the CVA has provided continuing education and certification of Vedic astrologers through our co-sponsorship of educational symposiums and events, but most importantly through our diverse national and internationally recognized sangha of professional Vedic astrologers and their programs spanning over 12 different countries. Establish professional standards and certification for practicing Vedic astrologers. Promote the national and international practice of Vedic astrology. Promote the free exchange of ideas and research among the various schools of Vedic astrology. Provide and promote an international community of CVA recognized teachers and practitioners and their educational and professional services via the CVA website and CVA co-sponsorship of conferences
