Since forming in 2010, Countermeasure, has been earned standing ovations and critical acclaim worldwide. Led by award-winning composer/arranger Aaron Jensen, the group has headlined major international festivals across the world and shared stages with musical giants, including a cappella stars Naturally 7, The Swingle Singers, and The Real Group, as well as top 40 staples like Corey Hart, Alan Frew, and Blue Rodeo. Countermeasure features 12 of Canada's top vocal talents, performing innovative arrangements of pop favourites, classic jazz standards, and original songs. Their diverse songbook has equipped the group to headline international choral concerts, play the main stage at jazz festivals, and entice club-goers onto the dance floor. Incorporating innovative live looping, instrument imitation, and vocal percussion, Countermeasure enthrals their audiences worldwide with their dramatically choreographed shows and flawless harmonies. They have won multiple awards from Contemporary A Cappella Society of America, include Best CAL Album, best video, and best original song. Countermeasure can be seen at high-profile jazz festivals, concert series, and galas, as well as on radio and television around the world. They are a founding artist of SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, and recently returned from a sold-out headline tour across the Kansai region of Japan, with major stops at Osaka Festival Hall, Toyooka Theatre and at the 20th Takatsuki Jazz Street Festival. Countermeasure is touring next to British Columbia, Canada in March, 2019.
