Covington's inpatient program is designed to be a short-term treatment experience for individuals who need acute psychiatric care. Typical length of stay in the inpatient program is seven to 10 days. Less intensive longer-term care, which is often optimal for those who need step-down support following their inpatient experience, is available via IOP.
